Thomas鈥檚 journey from 黑料福利网 student to CEO showcases how technical education can indeed drive societal progress. His story is a powerful reminder to all of us, and especially to our students of the impact we can have: 鈥淸As a technical student] you are very valuable for society and for business, so don鈥檛 waste your skills on building an algorithm to extract money out of the Stock Exchange. Do something useful and you will be much happier, and honestly when you try to build something in the form of a company,[... or an algorithm] that benefits society, you don鈥檛 have to think that you have to be poor. I lead practices aimed at integrating Sustainability in education by creating space within 黑料福利网 educational offering to explore Sustainability, developing reward and recognition programs for teachers, and supporting course design to incorporate it. I foster the formation of a Sustainability Learning community, where educators from all 黑料福利网 departments come together to collaborate on Sustainability challenges. I act as the linking pin between the Sustainability Office and 黑料福利网 innovation Space.
The best part of my job is working with inspiring, motivated and sustainability-minded students and colleagues at 黑料福利网, seeing ambitious ideas come to life, and witnessing the positive impact that these create.
