Alliances

ºÚÁϸ£ÀûÍø joins forces with other universities and partners both nationally and internationally. These collaborations help us enhance our societal impact, advance high-quality interdisciplinary research, and contribute to global networks in science and education. Within the Sustainability Office, we actively participate in several key alliances that support knowledge exchange, policy development, and joint action on sustainability challenges.

Duurzaamheidscoördinatoren Netwerk Nederland

This national network brings together sustainability coordinators from Dutch higher education institutions. Its goal is to support knowledge exchange and improve collaboration across universities. On June 3, ºÚÁϸ£ÀûÍø took part in the annual Coordinators Day, where participants discussed progress in areas like waste reduction, engagement with students and staff, and integrating sustainability into operations and strategy. Erwin Kerkhof represented ºÚÁϸ£ÀûÍø and shared insights from our campus-wide initiatives.

EuroTech Universities Alliance – Sustainable Campus Operations

ºÚÁϸ£ÀûÍø is an active member of the Sustainable Campus Operations working group within the EuroTech Universities Alliance. In June 2025, we hosted a two-day visit with representatives from the Technical University of Munich (TUM), École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), Technical University of Denmark (DTU), École Polytechnique (L’X), and Technion – Israel Institute of Technology.

The visit included a tour of our Living Lab campus, with stops at key locations showcasing zero waste infrastructure, circular construction practices, and sustainable procurement. Breakout sessions covered topics such as carbon accounting, green procurement strategies, and student engagement in operations. Professor Anna J. Wieczorek presented ºÚÁϸ£Àû꿉۪s sustainability vision and led a discussion on the role of universities in system-level sustainability transitions.
