ºÚÁϸ£ÀûÍø

The Sustainability Office of ºÚÁϸ£ÀûÍø is a central team dedicated to the integration of Sustainability across all domains of the university and beyond. It plays a key role in implementing the ambitions of the Institutional Plan 2026–2030, in which Sustainability is identified as one of the three core cross-cutting themes.

The work of the Sustainability Office is guided by ºÚÁϸ£ÀûÍø’s Sustainability narrative (see below), which provides a shared direction and language for how the university understands its role and responsibility in the Sustainability transition. This narrative serves as a compass for strategic choices, collaboration, and concrete actions across the organization.

The mission of the Sustainability Office is to embed Sustainability structurally within the university’s education, research, operations and valorization & governance. The Sustainability Office acts as an advisory, coordinating, monitoring and enabling body for faculties, departments, and university leadership, providing expertise, tools, and guidance to support Sustainability-related initiatives.

Working closely with the Sustainability Ambassador Anna J. Wieczorek, the Sustainability Office connects strategic ambitions with practical implementation. It facilitates collaboration across disciplinary and organizational boundaries and strengthens links between internal stakeholders and external partners involved in Sustainability transitions. The Sustainability Office also collaborates closely with the GO Green Office, a student-led sustainability hub, to enhance engagement and participation among students and staff. Through its central position within the university, the Sustainability Office contributes to positioning ºÚÁϸ£ÀûÍø as an active and influential actor in the sustainability transition, combining academic excellence with societal impact.
