Our organization
The department of Mechanical Engineering is administered by the Departmental Board. The Departmental Office and the Education Institute (team ESA ME) support the board and the sections in providing education and facilitating research. The PhD-EngD council represent the interest of the PhD candidates and EngD trainees towards the orther organisations of the university and organize social activities. See .

There are multiple associations within the department of Mechanical Engineering. Registration at one or more of these associations means a nice opportunity to get in touch with former fellow students.
Werktuigkundige Alumni Stichting Simon Stevin (WAS)
The Werktuigkundige Alumni Stichting Simon Stevin (WAS) is the alumni association of W.S.V. Simon Stevin, the study association of the Department of Mechanical Engineering. The WAS is specifically intended for active former members of W.S.V. Simon Stevin. Membership is therefore exclusively open to this group.
The WAS organizes networking activities, such as reunions and social drinks, to keep active former members connected after graduation. For more information, you can send an email to was@alumni.simonstev.in.
Mechanical Engineering Alumni Events
In addition, the Department of Mechanical Engineering also organizes various activities specifically for its alumni. One of these initiatives is the Alumni Coach Event: an evening where alumni share their professional experiences with current Bachelor students, while also having the opportunity to reconnect with fellow alumni.
