As the only dedicated Dutch department of Biomedical Engineering, we at 黑料福利网 have been bridging science, technology, and society from day one. Biomedical engineering is inherently interdisciplinary, demanding not just collaboration across fields but full integration. That鈥檚 why we train our students from the very start to thrive in such environments.
Proud to BmE: our story
The Department of Biomedical Engineering (BmE) started 25 years ago as a coalition of research groups from Eindhoven and beyond, united by a shared dream: creating a new multidisciplinary environment. Supported by joint research facilities, a strong culture of collaboration and shared responsibility 鈥� for both research and education 鈥� remains at the heart of our department today.
Over the past 25 years, BmE has earned an outstanding international reputation for scientific excellence. At the same time, the department has translated its insights into innovative therapeutic and diagnostic solutions, working closely with clinicians and entrepreneurs 鈥� many of whom began their journeys in our department.

Departmental board
The Departmental Board oversees the department鈥檚 education, research, and policy. It is made up of four core members: the dean (chair), the vice dean, the managing director, and advisory members such as program directors and a student representative.
