In this session, boundary spanners Elke den Ouden (Intelligent Lighting Institute) and Isolde Hallensleben (黑料福利网 innovation Space) will share their insights on how the arts can contribute to 黑料福利网鈥檚 engineering education, and would like to exchange experiences with you.

Elke has a track record in inter/transdisciplinary projects related to intelligent lighting, from which a strong community has emerged, including the Intelligent Lighting Institute, students from all study programmes, scientists/experts, student teams, artists/designers, industry, and government.

Isolde, together with professor Isabelle Reymen (IE&IS), set up the master course . During the course, students work with artists and other stakeholders on open-ended challenges over a semester. They develop competences -- such as radical openness, integrated knowing, and explorative prototyping -- they need for the increasingly difficult-to-predict challenges of the future.

Thorough evaluations and research within the course have provided a lot of insight on its added value, which Elke and Isolde, together with teacher support officer Sabine de Lat, are happy to share with you in the session. They would like to hear how the insights gained could be of value to you, what kind of support you could use, and what (you think) you might encounter, so that they can take that into account in the further development of this education innovation and associated tools for the rest of the university.

This event is open to teachers and support staff; registration is free and can be done . Free lunch and drinks will be available to those attending in person.
