Charlotte Rugers

Short bio
Charlotte holds a Master of Science in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the Eindhoven University of Technology, where she specialized in various aspects of quantum key distribution. She further expanded her expertise by earning a second Master of Science degree from the University of Leiden in 2018, completing a thesis on Risk Management and the Quantum Threat鈥.

After a career as IT security consultant at Siemens, she held various roles within the Dutch Ministry of Defence and is currently employed at the IT innovation department (KIXS). As a senior innovation manager, she explores the possibilities and threats of quantum technology, including quantum computing, quantum sensing, and quantum communications.
