One challenge in large-scale CBL projects is ensuring consistency between tutors in guiding student groups and safeguarding the designed open-endedness of the CBL project. To that end, Willem-Bart Bartels and Apoorva Sonawane (Mechanical Engineering department) developed the Tutor CBL Web — a visual instructional tool for tutor training, which they will share in this lunch session.

It shows the open-endedness in various CBL aspects using constructive alignment and links tutoring approaches to levels of open-endedness. Interviews with students, tutors, and teachers indicate that the tool is experienced to contribute positively to maintaining open-endedness, with recommendations concentrating on further improvement of the tutor instructions.

This event is open to teachers and support staff; registration is free and can be done . Free lunch and drinks will also be available to those attending in person.
