How do we measure learning in challenge-based settings without sacrificing depth or undermining the complexities of real-world challenges? Join us for an interactive roundtable discussion that delves into the intricacies of assessment in Challenge-Based Learning (CBL).

During this session led by Peter Ruijten-Dodoiu (assistant professor) of the Industrial Engineering and Innovation Sciences department, we will explore the common struggles educators face when balancing disciplinary depth and the broader interdisciplinary goals of CBL. We'll examine experiences from the Innovation Space Bachelor End Project (ISBEP) and discuss the tension between traditional, outcome-based assessment and more holistic, process-oriented approaches.

Be prepared for a lively debate on provocative statements and leave with practical strategies to implement nuanced assessment methods that capture the full learning journey of students.

Our goal? To inspire new connections and methodologies that support the integration of reflective practices into CBL assessments. Join us, share your insights, and be part of shaping the future of interdisciplinary education.

This event is open to teachers and support staff; registration is free and can be done . Free lunch and drinks will be available.
