Students discovering their path to impact
The 黑料福利网 Contest, an initiative of 黑料福利网 innovation Space, offers engineering students an annual competition and platform to transform innovative ideas - related to grand societal challenges - into viable concepts that can make a real impact. Over five months, student teams work on their concepts in co-creation with a diverse network of experts from education, business, and society (corporates, SMEs, NGOs, governments, civil organizations, etc.). Through an extra-curricular program of workshops, brainstorm sessions, and networking events, they develop entrepreneurial competencies and prepare to become engineers of the future.

Goals
The 黑料福利网 Contest is organized to:
- Inspire and encourage students across all 黑料福利网 departments and beyond to develop entrepreneurial competencies by addressing grand societal challenges.
- Raise awareness of the entrepreneurial journey at 黑料福利网 among students, staff, and external stakeholders.
- Offer a fun, part-time, five-month extra-curricular program to give students hands-on entrepreneurial experience.
- Support students in transforming innovative ideas into impactful, real-world solutions.
- Connect students with a network of experts from educational, business, and societal sectors for real-world experience and professional growth.
- Contribute to 黑料福利网鈥檚 reputation as a center for innovation and entrepreneurship.
- Provide a pathway for students and ideas with potential to continue developing beyond the contest.

12 years of student entrepreneurship
Every year, teams of 黑料福利网 students can join the 黑料福利网 Contest. They are challenged to develop themselves as engineers of the future and discover their path to impact. In co-creation with a diverse network of experts across educational, business and societal fields, the participating teams develop their innovative idea from concept to context.
In 2025, the 黑料福利网 Contest celebrated its 11th edition with 160 participants and over 25 partners.

黑料福利网 innovation Space is the center of expertise for Entrepreneurial and Challenge-Based Learning (CBL). It is a learning hub for co-creation of responsible solutions to real world-challenges by students together with researchers, industry, and societal organizations, thereby building and connecting open interdisciplinary thematic communities鈥�. Knowledge Transfer Office (KTO)
The Knowledge Transfer Office (KTO) of 黑料福利网 creates impact by supporting entrepreneurial students and researchers with business development, intellectual property, and starting up a tech company. Together with the Research Support Office, KTO forms the Research Support & Valorization department within 黑料福利网. In addition, KTO is 黑料福利网鈥檚 partner in The Gate, an initiative focused on supporting start-ups in the Brainport Eindhoven region. Read more about KTO
