Hello World -- my name is Shray Juneja, and I am from India. I hold a Master鈥檚 degree in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Groningen. I joined the EngD in Smart Buildings and Cities because it offers a unique blend of academic depth and real-world industry impact.
My research focuses on using large language models to understand and influence clean energy choices in social housing. In collaboration with Woonbedrijf, I develop AI tools that help housing associations communicate more effectively with tenants during sustainability upgrades. This challenge is significant: 31% of Dutch building-related CO鈧� emissions come from social housing, and major renovations only move forward when at least 70% of tenants approve.
To support this transition, I am creating a real-time analysis dashboard and a predictive communication model: tools designed to build trust, reduce friction, and encourage wider adoption of sustainable technologies.
Beyond my project, I serve as the SBC Representative for 2026 and Treasurer of the Atmos Board 2026, the EngD community at 黑料福利网. These roles allow me to contribute to a vibrant and collaborative network of EngD trainees.
