1. Can I apply via email?
Applications must be submitted through the application button on our website (Grade Varbi). While emails are read, applying by email is not preferred due to data protection regulations.
2. When does the program start?
The program begins in the first week of November with an introduction week. You are also welcome to attend the graduation ceremony of our senior trainees at the end of October.
3. Do I need a recent IELTS test?
No. An IELTS test is no longer required. We do expect strong written and spoken English skills.
4. Are there age restrictions?
No, there are no age restrictions for joining the EngD program.
10. Can I apply if I haven鈥檛 finished my master鈥檚 degree yet?
Yes. You may apply if you expect to obtain your master鈥檚 degree before the program starts. You may also apply without a master鈥檚 degree, but having one is strongly preferred and significantly increases your chances of acceptance. In some cases, extensive industry experience may be considered as an alternative.
14. Can I apply without a copy of my thesis or diploma?
Yes. You may apply without these documents, but we ask you to provide them later when available.
20. Are there specific technical skills or programming languages that are especially valuable?
Strong programming fundamentals (e.g., C++, Python, or similar), familiarity with systems engineering, and experience with model鈥慴ased design are highly beneficial.
21. What criteria are used to evaluate applicants?
We assess your technical skills, motivation, soft skills, and your ability to collaborate, communicate, and give and receive feedback effectively.
