The Eindhoven area is renowned for its state-of-the-art high-tech industries, collectively referred to as . The DEES program is embedded in this industrial eco-system, but also reaches further afield, and occasionally crosses borders. The curricular structure with block lectures lends itself for this, as trainees can work on their projects at the company and efficiently travel back to Eindhoven for the block-lectures only.
