RESEARCH PROFILE

This project focuses on using electrospinning techniques to produce bipolar membranes with enhanced interfacial junction and increased durability.

ACADEMIC BACKGROUND

Tom谩拧 has pursued an integrated Master's degree in Chemistry at the University of Edinburgh (United Kingdom) from 2020 to 2024. As part of his Master's thesis, he undertook an industrial placement at Agfa (Belgium), where he was developing mixed-matrix membranes for alkaline water electrolysis. In May 2025, he joined the Membrane Materials & Processes (MMP) group as a PhD candidate, working full-time in Wetsus, Leeuwarden (www.wetsus.nl). His PhD project focuses on using electrospinning to create durable and high-performance bipolar membranes.
