RESEARCH PROFILE
Thijs van Oorschot works as a Ph.D. candidate in the Dynamics and Control section of Mechanical Engineering, where he focusus on autonomous and complex systems. His current research is centered around the modular (contract-based) design of structural dynamics systems, typically encountered in complex high-tech mechatronic applications. The project is supervised by Rob Fey and Nathan van de Wouw.
ACADEMIC BACKGROUND
Thijs van Oorschot (born in 2000) obtained his BSc degree in Mechanical Engineering at Eindhoven University of Technology (2021). He subsequently earned his MSc degree in Mechanical Engineering within the section Dynamics and Control at Eindhoven University of Technology (2025). During his studies, he worked as a guest researcher at Lund University (LTH), department of Automatic Control, where he conducted research on scalable control protocols for large-scale networks. He now proceeds his academic career within the Dynamics and Control section as a doctoral candidate.
