Sujith Diwakar Namnidi is currently a PhD candidate in the Processing & Performance of Materials group at the Eindhoven University of Technology. His research focuses on understanding and establishing structure-processing-property relations in polymers (and their blends) and developing new experimental micro-mechanical methods for polymer property assessment. The use of techniques such as X-ray diffraction, dilatometry, calorimetry, and mechanical testing methods, such as uniaxial testing and micro/nano indentation, allows the development and understanding of the aforementioned topics.  His PhD research aims to develop novel and accurate methods of determining polymer properties using nanoindentation. This understanding and development allow improvement of current testing methods and help advance polymer circularity. 

Simple things are already complex enough

Sujith Diwakar Namnidi obtained his BTech from the department of Mechanical Engineering at BMS College of Engineering (India) in 2021. He moved to the Netherlands in 2022 for his MSc in the department of Mechanical Engineering at the Eindhoven University of Technology. He graduated cum laude in 2024 from the Processing & Performance of Materials group, where he completed his master's thesis under the supervision of Professor Lambert van Breemen and Professor Stan Looijmans, with his master's thesis nominated for the KNCV Golden Master award 2025. In the same year, he started as a PhD candidate in the same group, continuing his research with the same supervisors.
