RESEARCH PROFILE
In June 2026, Salar joined the Electrochemical Materials and Systems group at Eindhoven University of Technology as a PhD candidate. His research focuses on the precision stereolithography of porous electrodes for next-generation redox flow batteries. By developing highly controlled three-dimensional electrode architectures with tailored pore structures, he aims to improve mass transport, electrochemical performance, and energy efficiency in redox flow battery systems, contributing to the development of advanced energy storage technologies.
ACADEMIC BACKGROUND
Salar received his BSc degree in Chemical Engineering from Tabriz University of Technology, Iran, and his MSc degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Tehran. During his master鈥檚 research, he investigated the experimental and modeling aspects of an electro-membrane reactor in the electrocoagulation process for arsenic removal. Afterwards, he worked as a research assistant on the formulation and CFD study of inhalation dry powder, as well as the fabrication of a novel hemostatic sponge and fiber at Tabriz University of Medical Sciences.
