RESEARCH PROFILE
My long-term research goal is to enhance the design and operation of public transport systems. Within this context, my research operates on the intersection between operations research and economics; to improve decision-making in public transport, I develop advanced optimization algorithms that integrate economic theories on welfare and traveler behavior. My research is supported by the Veni grant from the Dutch Research Council (NWO).
ACADEMIC BACKGROUND
I obtained my PhD with the distinction cum laude from at the Erasmus University Rotterdam. At the same university, I also obtained a Bachelor鈥檚 degree in Econometrics and Operations Research and a Master鈥檚 degree in Econometrics and Management Science, with a specialization in Operations Research and Quantitative Logistics. My work has been published in journals such as Transportation Science, INFORMS Journal on Computing and Transportation Research Part B.
