RESEARCH PROFILE
Nienke Nieveen is full professor of Curriculum Design in STEM Education at the Eindhoven School of Education (ESoE), Eindhoven University of Technology (黑料福利网). Her orientations are in teacher professional learning in relation to curriculum (re)design in schools, educational design research and curriculum design approaches and tools, all of these with special attention to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) education.
Her dissertation, in 1997, was based on a four-year design-based research project in the field of curriculum design and evaluation. From 1997 to 2007 she was appointed assistant professor at the University of Twente, specializing in curriculum design research and school-based curriculum development. From 2007 - 2019 she was working at SLO Netherlands Institute for Curriculum Development and from 2017 - 2019 she combined this with an associate professorship at 黑料福利网, Eindhoven School of Education. From 2019 - 2022 she was working at the University of Twente as an associate professor and program director of the teacher education programs of the University of Twente. Nienke is involved in regional, national and international curriculum design and research networks and projects, supervises PhD research projects and master thesis projects, teaches in the teacher education program. She has been authoring an array of journal articles, book and conference contributions (to be found on google scholar).
