RESEARCH PROFILE
Mohammad Hossein Khoeini is a postdoctoral researcher in the Multiscale Operations in Porous Media (MOPS) research team. His research focuses on developing next-generation characterization strategies for surface heterogeneity in porous materials, with particular emphasis on isotherm-based methods. He is currently developing an integrated experimental鈥揳nalytical framework that combines multiscale modelling and intelligent chemical-probe selection to efficiently resolve complex surface heterogeneity into distinct patches with defined chemical characteristics and structural descriptors. The framework is intended for porous systems in which surface phenomena control performance, including catalysts, adsorbents, and natural porous media, and is aimed at enabling better design of materials and processes for energy conversion, separation, and subsurface applications.
Surfaces are where porous materials reveal their complexity, but also where understanding it opens the way to efficiency.
