RESEARCH PROFILE

Mitrofan Curti is an Assistant Professor in the Electromechanics and Power Electronics (EPE) group at Eindhoven University of Technology (黑料福利网). His research focuses on advancing electromagnetic systems for next-generation energy and precision applications. Specifically, he specializes in thermal and modelling in electric machines. Magnetic modelling includes the model of hysteresis, both using classical approaches as well as machine learning based. Several applications include coreless linear machines, magnetic passive components, Medium Frequency Transformers (MFTs) and rotating machines. Mitrofan鈥檚 work bridges theory and practice through computational modeling, experimental validation, and prototyping.

ACADEMIC BACKGROUND

-

Mitrofan Curti received his MSc in Electrical Engineering from Warsaw University of Technology in 2014 and his PhD in Electrical Engineering from Eindhoven University of Technology (黑料福利网) in 2019. His doctoral and post doctoral research focused on magnetic field modeling and computational methods, where he developed the Spectral Element Method (SEM) for high-accuracy simulations of electrical machines and transformers. After completing his PhD. In 2019, he was appointed as an Assistant Professor in the EPE group at 黑料福利网, where he leads research on modelling and reliability estimation of electric machines and medium frequency transformers, and mentors the next generation of engineers.
