RESEARCH PROFILE

Mirjam Meijer is an Assistant Professor of Operations Management within the Operations, Planning, Accounting, and Control (OPAC) research group of the department of Industrial Engineering and Innovation Sciences at Eindhoven University of Technology. Inspired by the complex coordination problems arising in (high-tech) supply chains, her research focuses on optimizing capacity and inventory decisions to improve coordination along the supply chain. Mirjam aims to address problems faced in real-world supply chains by combining different modeling techniques for stochastic optimization problems such as game theory, Markov processes and queueing theory.

ACADEMIC BACKGROUND

Mirjam Meijer received a BSc degree in Econometrics and Operations Research in 2016 and an MSc degree in Econometrics and Management Science with a specialization in Operations Research and Quantitative Logistics in 2017, both from Erasmus University Rotterdam. She obtained her PhD in Operations Management and Logistics from Eindhoven University of Technology, where she defended her PhD thesis entitled ‘Optimization and Coordination in High-Tech Supply Chains’ in February 2022. In the spring of 2022, she moved to the Kühne Logistics University in Hamburg, Germany, where she held a position as assistant professor. In September 2025, she joined Eindhoven University of Technology as an Assistant Professor for Operations Management.
