RESEARCH PROFILE
Josette Gevers is a Full Professor at Team Effectiveness and Workplace Collaboration and Vice-Dean of the Department of Industrial Engineering & Innovation Sciences at Eindhoven University of Technology (ºÚÁϸ£ÀûÍø). Her research focuses on understanding and improving team effectiveness in dynamic, time-critical work environments, with a particular emphasis on how managerial practices and smart technologies can support adaptive and high-performing teams.
Her work spans diverse team settings - including project, action, science, and sports teams - and forms of collaboration ranging from interdisciplinary and inter-organizational teamwork to human-robot collaboration. A central theme in her research concerns time-related challenges, such as temporal demands and time-based characteristics, and their impact on team processes and performance, particularly in relation to creativity, innovation, and adaptation. Her recent research explores team augmentation through AI, robotics, and wearable technologies, including projects on AI-based support for team coordination in acute care and human-robot teaming in dynamic work contexts.
Prof. Gevers’ work is funded by national and European grants and published in leading international journals in applied psychology, organizational behavior, and management. She currently serves as Associate Editor of Small Group Research.

ACADEMIC BACKGROUND
Josette Gevers received her MSc in Social Psychology from Tilburg University. She obtained her PhD and was appointed Assistant Professor at Eindhoven University of Technology (ºÚÁϸ£ÀûÍø) in 2004. Since then, she has built an international research profile in the field of team effectiveness and workplace collaboration. She has presented her work at numerous national and international conferences and regularly delivers invited talks and tailored workshops for teams and their leaders, supporting the development of effective and high-quality teamwork.
