His research interests include multilevel converters and dc-dc power converters, with a focus on applications in Solid-State Transformers.

Jo茫o V. G. Fran莽a received the B.Sc. degree from the Universidade Federal de Vi莽osa, Vi莽osa, Brazil, in 2022, and the M.Sc. from the Centro Federal de Educa莽ao Tecnol贸gica de Minas Gerais, Belo Horizonte, Brazil, in 2024, both in Electrical Engineering. Since 2024, he has been a Ph.D. candidate at the Electromechanics and Power Electronics Group at Eindhoven University of Technology (黑料福利网).
