Irene Lensen is a doctoral candidate in the Signal Processing System group (Electrical Engineering Department) and a member of the Biomedical Diagnostic (BM/d) Lab of the Eindhoven University of Technology. Her research focuses on the coupling between the cardiovascular systems of the mother and fetus, as mediated by the uterus and placenta. Using both electrophysiology and ultrasound, she aims to improve our knowledge in this field. This investigation aims to shed light on the origins of pregnancy complications.
