RESEARCH PROFILE

Banu Aysolmaz is an Assistant Professor in the Information Systems group at Eindhoven University of Technology (黑料福利网). Her research focuses on explorative business process management and the role of emerging digital technologies, such as advanced data analytics and artificial intelligence, in enabling digital innovation. She studies the organizational capabilities and conditions required to create business value from such systems. Her work bridges business model innovation and business process management by examining how business model design decisions can be translated into process redesign and execution, and how process data can support the monitoring and improvement of business model performance. A particular focus of her research is digital transformation for circular and sustainable business models and processes, including the identification of digital enablers and the use of data-driven methods to improve sustainability performance in practice.

ACADEMIC BACKGROUND

Banu received her PhD in Information Systems from METU, Ankara, Turkey. She worked as an assistant professor of information management at Maastricht University and conducted post-doctoral research as a Marie Curie Fellow with the Business Informatics group of the VU Amsterdam. Before and during PhD, she worked as a consultant in the industry in the areas of business process management, software process improvement, and software development. She also worked as a software developer and project manager for simulation systems.
