ACADEMIC BACKGROUND

Amin Najafqolian is a mechatronics and robotics researcher with a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology and an M.Sc. in Mechatronics Engineering from the University of Tehran. His M.Sc. research focused on formation control of multi-robot systems using learning based model predictive control. His academic work centers on advanced control and learning methods for robotics, including robot trajectory tracking using stochastic model-free position control with a DDPG-based attitude controller, control of robots using convex quadratic programming learning model predictive control, and learning based explicit model predictive control, and multiple studies on multi-robot formation control and learning under communication constraints. Alongside his research, he has developed and led real-world robotics and AI projects in industrial settings, including machine vision inspection systems for manufacturing, predictive maintenance platforms that integrate data-driven models with digital twin concepts, and autonomous robotic products, reflecting a consistent focus on bridging rigorous control theory with practical deployment.
