Ali Moeinirad
RESEARCH PROFILE
Ali Moeinirad is a PhD candidate in the Power & Flow group at Eindhoven University of Technology (黑料福利网). His research focuses on computational modelling of multiphase and electrochemical transport phenomena. His work combines computational fluid dynamics with heat and mass transfer, interfacial transport, phase change, and electrochemical processes.
His current research is a part of the EcoIron project and concerns fully resolved modelling of iron electrowinning, including species and charge transport, electrode growth, gas evolution, and particle interactions. He is particularly interested in developing high-fidelity numerical methods for strongly coupled multiphysics systems and applying them to sustainable metallurgical processes.
ACADEMIC BACKGROUND
He received his M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology, where his research focused on the numerical modelling of solidification and defect formation in continuous casting. His research background includes computational fluid dynamics, multiphase flow, heat and mass transfer, solidification, phase change phenomena, and interface-resolving methods. He has experience developing and applying numerical models in OpenFOAM for complex multiphysics problems.
