RESEARCH PROFILE

Almost since I began at 黑料福利网 in 2019 I have been involved in the implementation of CBL and CBL focussed educational research; initially the design and delivery of pilot CBL courses that integrated (part of Project E3: Eindhoven Engineering Education).  I am currently engaged with the CBL assessment working group looking at Assessment for Learning,  and am part of the EuroTeQ CBL expert group, and more recently am part of a EuroTeQ Erasmus+ project on facilitating hybrid CBL.

I have contributed to the , the resources, and am part of the Learning Analytics community of practice, the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion community of practice. I am currently chair of the .

ACADEMIC BACKGROUND

Following a mechatronics based PhD I began teaching within the School of Education at Nottingham Trent Univesity where I completed a PGCHE (Post Graduate Certificate of Higher Education). After several years of teaching programming, modelling and project planning courses to Education Science students I began teaching at the International College associated with the university, and also returned to the Computing Department to work as a tutor and lecturer. Courses covered Object Orientated Programming, Systems Analysis and Design, Computer Systems and Systems Programming.

I am currently engaged as a teacher within the IRIS (Interconnected Resource-aware Intelligent Systems) group at 黑料福利网 where I am engaged with several courses, primarily Computer Systems and Digitally Twinned Autonmous Systems. Within the EngD (Engineering Doctorate) I deliver workshops in Real-time architectures, and supervise industrial projects within the university and companies such as ASML and DAF. My educational research is focussed on CBL.
