GGzond: Remote monitoring approach for FACT patients
In mental healthcare, there is a growing need for effective digital monitoring and coaching techniques, especially for patients with severe mental illnesses (SMI). The COVID-19 pandemic has forced us to explore digital alternatives, which has shown that these technologies are not only necessary but also need to be improved
This project, funded by GGZ Centraal and carried out at the Eindhoven University of Technology, focuses on developing innovative digital tools. By combining techniques from game design, wearables, and machine learning, we aim to support case managers and help patients become more self-reliant.
With a gamified mHealth app, patients can track their progress and stay engaged with their treatment plan, while social interaction is encouraged to reduce reliance on care teams. This project contributes to improving public health, patient experience, and team well-being, without increasing healthcare costs.
Together, we are working toward a future where digital technologies improve care and empower patients.
