Vivekanand Swami is a postdoctoral researcher in the Chemical Process Intensification group at Eindhoven University of Technology (黑料福利网). His expertise and research interests lie in optical and laser-based diagnostics and modelling of dispersed multiphase flows for emerging reactive process systems, underpinning the development of circular and sustainable chemical processes. He is currently focused on investigating hydrodynamics of electrified gas鈥搒olid fluidized-bed reactors.

Vivekanand Swami holds a master鈥檚 degree with distinction in Chemical Science & Technology from Defence Institute of Advanced Technology (DIAT, Pune, India), completed in 2015, and a bachelor鈥檚 degree in Petrochemical Engineering from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University (DBATU, Lonere, India), obtained in 2012. His master鈥檚 research focused on hydrogen flame inhibition using chemical inhibitors, marking the beginning of an interdisciplinary research trajectory spanning fluid mechanics, multiphase flows, combustion, and advanced experimental diagnostics for chemical engineering applications.

Following interdisciplinary research experiences at DIAT and later at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc, Bangalore, India), he started his doctoral research on the experimental study of pressure-swirl atomization for spray-drying applications in the food process industry in the Multiscale Modelling of Multiphase Flows group of Prof. Hans Kuipers. In 2026, he obtained his PhD and joined the Chemical Process Intensification group of Prof. Martin van Sint Annaland as a postdoctoral researcher, where he extends his expertise in non-invasive monitoring techniques for dispersed multiphase flows towards circular and reactive chemical processes.
