Samarth Toolhally is a Doctoral Candidate in the Control Systems (CS) Group within the Department of Electrical Engineering. His research focuses on developing a hybrid model for a thermo-mechanical process in a lithography machine. This project is carried out in collaboration with ASML and is supervised by Professor Siep Weiland and Associate Professor Maarten Schoukens.

Samarth Toolhally received his BE in Mechanical Engineering from BMS College of Engineering, Bengaluru, in 2021. He later obtained his MSc in Systems and Control from Eindhoven University of Technology, in 2024. For his master's graduation project, he worked on developing a digital twin for the thermo-fluidic process in the fixation unit of a commercial inkjet printer.
