RESEARCH PROFILE
Elena Lomonova is a Full Professor and Chair of Electromechanics, Power Electronics and Motion Systems at Eindhoven University of Technology (黑料福利网). Her chair focuses on fundamental and applied research on enabling energy conversion theory, methods and technologies for high-precision, automotive and medical systems. Her research activities span various facets of advanced mechatronics, electromechanics and electromagnetics including rotary electrical machines and drives, linear and planar actuation, and power conversion systems.
Most importantly in the practice of electromechanics, electromagnetics and power electronics is the methodology and knowledge of approximation and experimental verification鈥.
ACADEMIC BACKGROUND
Elena Lomonova studied Electromechanical and Control Systems at Moscow Aviation Institute - (State University of Aerospace Technology), Russia. After graduating (cum laude), she started her industrial carrier at the Research and Development Company 鈥楢strophysics鈥, Moscow, Russia (1982-1987). Afterwards she moved to the Electromechanical and Control Systems Department at State University of Aerospace Technology (MAI), and was active in research, education and industrial projects (1987-1997).
Elena gained her PhD (cum laude) in 1993 on researching of powertrain and control systems for autonomous vehicles with multi-level power supply subsystems for on-board loads and laser equipment. She started working at Delft University of Technology in 1998 before joining 黑料福利网 in 2000. In March 2009 she was appointed as a full professor and Chair of the Electromechanics and Power Electronics Group. Elena is an author and co-author of more than鈥250 scientific publications and more than 15 patents. She holds the prestigious awards 鈥 Nagamori (Japan, 2016) and Lifetime Contributions to Magnetics (UK, Cambridge, 2019).
