Research profile César Gómez is a member of the Control Systems Group in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Eindhoven University of Technology. His research focuses on dynamic modeling, control, and optimization of chemical processes. César earned an MSCA postdoctoral grant and is developing a framework for green solvent-process-control simulteneous design. César collaborates with Professor Leyla Özkan as a postdoctoral researcher Quote: Passionate about dynamic systems and all the mysterious behaviors they conceal. Academic Background: César Gómez holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering and a PhD in Energy Systems from the National University of Colombia (Universidad Nacional de Colombia). His work has focused on the design and economic optimization of photobioreactors for microalgae culture. In his research, he proposed a novel method for designing a system of photobioreactors in series and conducted an economic analysis of the approach. Additionally, he completed a Master in Chemical Engineering with a focus on process control. In his Master's thesis, he proposed a Model Predictive Control for batch processes using set theory methods.
