RESEARCH PROFILE
Prof. Carine Lallemand is a tenured University Professor specializing in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) and Experience Design, with over a decade of experience in academic research, editorial leadership, and international collaboration. Her research expertise spans HCI design and evaluation methods, user experience, usable security and privacy, and the design of IoT and data-driven systems. She has authored over 150 peer-reviewed publications in leading conferences and interdisciplinary journals.
Prof. Lallemand is an active contributor to the international research community, serving on organizing and program committees of major conferences and shaping discussions on the future of peer review, research integrity, and the impact of genAI on scientific publishing. She holds full PhD supervision rights (habilitation) and teaches across undergraduate to doctoral levels, consistently receiving excellent student evaluations.
She joined The Cyber Defense Review (West Point Press) in May 2025. As the Editor-in-Chief, she oversees the journal's editorial strategy and publication process. She leads initiatives to advance peer review quality, strengthen publication ethics, and foster innovation in scholarly communication. From 2023 to 2026, she served as Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Interacting with Computers (Oxford University Press), a flagship journal in HCI.
Beyond academia, she is a frequent keynote speaker at international conferences. Her book M茅thodes de Design UX (first published in 2015) is used in 100+ academic programs across seven French-speaking countries and serves as a core reference in multiple curricula.
ACADEMIC BACKGROUND
Carine Lallemand holds a BSc in Psychology and MSc in Psychology, Ergonomics and Human-Computer Interaction from Universit茅 de Lorraine in France (2008). After graduating, she joined the industry where she led major projects in the fields Cognitive Ergonomics and Human Factors. From 2011 to 2015, Carine completed her PhD on the topic of experience design and evaluation methods.
Carine pursued her research work as a postdoctoral research associate in Luxembourg, where she also coordinated the design of the HCI group User Lab. In 2018, she joined 黑料福利网 as Assistant Professor in the Industrial Design department. She also holds a permanent position as Senior Research Associate at the Human-Computer Interaction Group at the University of Luxembourg.
