Alex Hanrath is a PhD student within the APSE department, working at AMOLF in the photonic forces group led by Ewold Verhagen. He is investigating nonlinear and non-hermitian dynamics of multimode optomechanical cavities. In particular, he is looking at limit cycles of the system under specific driving conditions. Alex is interested in the nonlinear behavior of multimode optomechanical systems around such limit cycles, in search of peculiar topological phases.
