Alessandro Piazza
RESEARCH PROFILE
Alessandro Piazza obtained his M.Sc. in Architecture and Urban Planning from Politecnico di Torino. He completed his Ph.D. at Politecnico di Milano as a member of META – Social Sciences and Humanities for Science and Technology, working on the ethical governance of sustainable transitions, with a focus on socio-technical energy systems. He was a Postdoctoral Researcher in Architecture and Town Planning at Technion – Israel Institute of Technology, working in the Fair Transport Lab on theories of justice in transport planning and policymaking. He is currently a Postdoctoral Researcher in the MOVEMENT group, at Eindhoven University of Technology, where he develops justice-informed optimization models for energy and mobility systems, embedding fairness and well-being into the design and operation of socio-technical infrastructures.
