Experiences from a participant 鈥 Smink Group
Dhr. Peter Haasakker,
Production- & Data, Improvement Specialist
Company info: Smink Group develops and produces high purity solutions and applications for customers in the high-tech industry.
Background & objective: 鈥5 years ago, there was no universal data structure and management information within Smink that met our requirement level. Our market is very demanding and can be very volatile; We needed unambiguous insights on contribution at every level, so every employee is enabled to drive value and steer on priorities.鈥
Why did you participate? 鈥淲e had many improvement projects running, but we lacked Company wide supported focus. The support and guidance of this topic to accelerate and get things moving, gave our company the correct inspiration.鈥
Evaluation bootcamp: 鈥淭he bootcamp helped us to get traction. We joined with several MT members, so we had immediate management buy-in and momentum.鈥
Key insight from bootcamp: 鈥淚t triggered our line of thinking: created coordination across all initiatives; set the right priorities with clear focus; and we organize around those priorities to actually deliver on the plans.鈥
Next steps: 鈥淲ith the management insights we gained so far, we defined key-initiatives to improve and/or digitalize our processes. This is essential to deliver on our 2026 ambition to grow and maintaining the same number of employees. All these plans are in the making鈥. 鈥
Experiences from a participant 鈥 Royal Meilink
Dhr. Karel Moeskops,
OPEX manager Royal Meilink
Company info: Meilink is a specialist in the design and manufacturing of resistant packaging and the expert in packaging, high-tech cleaning and transportation of industrial capital goods.
Background & objective: 鈥淥ur ambition is to create and improve integral performance management (KPI鈥檚) across all locations so we can improve our operational processes.鈥
Why did you participate? 鈥淭o get inspired and learn from experts how to tackle our challenge.鈥
Evaluation bootcamp: 鈥淭he bootcamp was very inspirational. With pragmatic templates and plenty of best practices and learnings from academics as well as from industry experts.鈥
Key insight from bootcamp: 鈥淭he pragmatic approach to structure our performance management strategy was an eye-opener. It gave us a new perspective on data and dashboarding and the value it could bring for the company.鈥
Next steps: 鈥淲e expect to start implementing the dashboards, with the aid of a student team, soon. Once finished, we can actually measure our performance and define digitalization projects to improve efficiency, increase quality and enhance the value we deliver to our customers.鈥
