Group Mi鈥檚 research currently focuses on four key areas:
(1) Metal Power Cycles: utilizing metal powders (e.g., Fe, Si, Zn) and their reversible redox cycles for long-term energy storage and long-distance transport of clean energy;
(2) Hydrogen-Based Flash Reduction of Iron Oxides: advancing green steelmaking technologies while enabling high-density energy storage;
(3) Gas- and Liquid-Fueled Rotating Detonation Engines (RDEs): investigating detonation-based propulsion and power generation systems;
(4) Flashback-Resistant and Acoustically Stable Hydrogen Burners: developing safe, efficient hydrogen combustion technologies for heating applications.
