Welcome to the Fluid Flow Community at ºÚÁϸ£ÀûÍø — a hub for advancing the future generation of fluid flow research. By uniting principal investigators, joint programs, and shared facilities, we strengthen collaboration within ºÚÁϸ£ÀûÍø. At the same time, we provide a unique gateway for external partners to connect, explore, and contribute to our world-leading expertise in flow research.

Fluid flow for society
Fluid dynamics research has a substantial size and impact in the Netherlands​ with a large involvement of industrial partners.​
There are six Fluid dynamics research and application areas:​
- Fluid dynamics for climate​
- Fluid dynamics for environment​
- Fluid dynamics for the energy transition​ (core area)
- Fluid dynamics for food and agro​
- Fluid dynamics for high tech​ systems (core area)
- Fluid dynamics for health
The two main application areas for ºÚÁϸ£ÀûÍø are Fluid dynamics for high tech systems and Fluid dynamics for energy transition.
Research Themes
Fluid dynamics is a foundational discipline for numerous application areas. Most of the fluid flow activities at ºÚÁϸ£ÀûÍø are concentrated around four research themes.
Core partners
ºÚÁϸ£ÀûÍø is member of the J.M. Burgerscentrum (JMBC), the national research school for fluid mechanics in The Netherlands. ºÚÁϸ£ÀûÍø maintains strong ties with the Dutch Institute for Fundamental Energy Research (DIFFER).
