The ºÚÁϸ£ÀûÍø is working on a modern, green campus. Due to the construction of the ºÚÁϸ£ÀûÍø Campus and events organized in the aforementioned area, certain locations sometimes may be less accessible. Whenever areas at the ºÚÁϸ£ÀûÍø Campus are less accessible, we will list the locations and dates on this page below.

Sewer Renovation – Weeks 12 to 14

What will we be doing?
During the period from week 12 (Monday 16 March) through week 14 (Friday 3 April), repair work will take place on the sewer system at various locations. For the safe execution of the work, the work areas will be cordoned off. The repair work will be carried out from the existing manholes.

When will this take place?
The work will be carried out in phases. For most activities, only traffic barriers will be placed. Parking lot P2 will be partially closed on Wednesday 18 March and Friday 20 March for the work.

Work on De Zaale will take place in phases between 16 March and 10 April. During this period it will be necessary to narrow the roadway. Cars will still be able to pass, but drivers should expect possible delays and follow the applicable right-of-way rules. Pedestrians will be redirected to the other side of the road where necessary.

On Good Friday, 3 April, the exit on the Kennedylaan side will be closed for the work. On that day, the exit on the Insulindelaan side must be used instead. To minimize inconvenience, this has been scheduled for Good Friday. This is a bridge day at ºÚÁϸ£ÀûÍø, meaning the campus is expected to be quieter with fewer people present.

Improving the accessibility and public lighting of parking lot P11 East

In the coming period, we will improve the accessibility and public lighting of parking lot P11 East. This will make the route to the campus both safer and more attractive.

What are we going to do?

  • New footpath along the Horsten
A new footpath will be created to provide a safe and logical walking route from P11 East to De Rondom.
  • Renewal and expansion of public lighting
The cabling of the existing lighting will be renewed. In addition, we will expand the public lighting between the Fenix building and parking lot P11 East.
As a result, the walking route between P11 East and P11 West, along Fenix, will also be better illuminated.

The installation of the new lighting cabling will start on March 10 and will last until April 10 at the latest.
The construction of the new footpath will start on March 23 and will continue until April 24 at the latest.

Accessibility during the works
To carry out the work safely, phased barriers will be placed on both the Horsten and parking lot P11 East.

Please take note of the following:

  • P11 East will be temporarily limited in availability.
  • The bicycle parking area between Fenix and P11 East will be less accessible during part of the work period.
