Cycling is the ultimate Dutch way to travel, and our campus is designed to be highly accessible and accommodating for cyclists. We provide extensive bicycle parking facilities near every single building.
Travel Tip: Driving a car to campus can be unpredictable due to limited parking spaces during busy days. Commuting by bike guarantees you a stress-free journey and a guaranteed spot right next to your destination!
Bicycle Parking Facilities
To accommodate everyone's preferences and ensure vehicle safety, the 黑料福利网 campus features four distinct types of bicycle parking:
- Secured & Indoor Storage: Fully enclosed, secure indoor storage areas. These facilities require a 黑料福利网 campus card for electronic access and are clearly marked at the entrances.
- Covered (Unsecured) Shelters: Open-air sheltered racks that shield your bicycle from the rain. No campus card required.
- Outdoor Bicycle Racks: Convenient, quick-access outdoor parking loops located right outside the entrance of every major campus building.
- External Visitor Racks: Dedicated, easily accessible parking zones specifically intended for guests and visitors who do not have a campus card.
Repair & Maintenance Stations
Got a soft tire or minor mechanical trouble? You don't have to walk home! The campus features dedicated Bicycle Self-Repair Stations to help you get back on the road quickly.
- Bicycle Pumps: High-quality, heavy-duty manual pumps are available at almost every major bicycle shelter on campus (including the large facilities underneath the Auditorium and between MetaForum and Gemini).
- Tools & Puncture Repair: Our self-repair stations are equipped with basic integrated tools (tire levers, screwdrivers, and wrenches) so you can easily patch a flat tire or adjust your brakes on the spot.
- Professional Repair Shop: Every Thursday, a mobile bicycle repair shop parks at the Laplaceplein (right next to the food trucks). If you don't want to fix it yourself, they can professionally repair your bike for a standard fee while you are in class or at work.
Shared E-bikes(Deelfietsen)
If you are arriving on campus using a shared e-bikeservice:
- Please note that shared e-bikes are not permitted inside the standard bicycle storage shelters.
- To keep campus pathways safe and clear for pedestrians, shared e-bikes must be parked exclusively in the designated shared e-bike parking zones highlighted on the map.
