G-STEAM: Gender-Sensitive Teacher Training in STEAM Education
Duration: 1st April 2025 to 30th March 2028 (36 months)
is a European partnership that brings together ITE (Initial Teacher Education) and CPD (Continuous Professional Development) providers, practice schools, and non-formal education and research organisations from 9 countries to promote gender inclusivity in STEM teaching. It establishes a European Community of Practice for gender- and intersectionality-inclusive STEAM education and engages policymakers in co-designing strategies for institutionalising gender-sensitive teacher training. Using creative and arts-based pedagogies, the project develops innovative training programmes, G-STEAM Toolboxes, and flexible mentoring and mobility schemes to strengthen collaboration and enhance the European dimension of teacher education.
