To enhance access to knowledge about medical devices in hospitals and health institutions and to create awareness of the decision-making processes around procuring Medical devices, we present a Masterclass with a comprehensive view of the medical technology used daily.

As this Masterclass has been put together in close collaboration with 黑料福利网 SMPE/e, , , and , the trainee will also be offered unique views in various locations for hands-on and spot-on presentations.

In the PPMT Masterclass, some of the most used general medical technologies in daily clinical practice are being discussed. The course is particularly developed for (biomedical) engineers, and clinical physics trainees, employed in health care or hospitals. The course may also be of interest for PhD candidates in the eMTIC program as we have created a collaborative environment between clinical centers, knowledge institutes, and local industry. Note that imaging is not discussed in this course as many other more specific courses for imaging are available.

Clinical physiologists (in training), biomedical engineers (in training for QME), and other professionals (in training) in healthcare.

The attendee will gain understanding in the physical principles of measuring and monitoring of vital functions in the hightech clinical practice.

• the course will be provided once per year.
• the course takes 4 1/2 coursedays with interactive colleges and 1/2 day with presentations.
• the course can be taken as a whole or in seperate days.
• he course will be provided by clinicians, (e/MTIC) researchers and physicists who are directly involved in diagnostics, monitoring and treatment.
• the attendee will receive a certificate after having attended the 5 days course when presented a short presentation or a seperate day(s) certificate.
• the course has a studyload of 3 ECTS (when taken the full course).
• daycertificates will be provided when registered for separate course days.
• courselanguage will be English. However, when only Dutch audience will be present, the courselanguage will be Dutch.

Morning Program

• Nervous system
• Electrophysiology sensors
• EEG/EMG/ENG techniques

Afternoon Program

• Every attendee will provide a short presentation on new technology in the afternoon, which the course coordinator will review.
