C.S.V. Ichthus Eindhoven is the biggest Christian student association in Eindhoven and is the perfect addition to a great student life.

About us

C.S.V. Ichthus Eindhoven is the biggest christian student association of Eindhoven, with 90 active members and over 160 members in total. Students from both hbo and university come together for activities, both focused on growing in faith and in relationship to each other. Every Tuesday we eat together, organize bible studies or invite speakers to talk about biblical topics. Besides that, we also organize a lot of fun activities, such as drinks, weekends away and parties. Next to the opportunity to meet fellow christians, Ichthus provides a foundation on which you can build lifelong friendships!

History
In 1969, C.S.V. Ichthus Eindhoven was founded by a small group of christian students, and grew bigger over the years with a peak of 140 active members in 2020. In 2017, Ichthus moved from 鈥榯he Bunker鈥� to a monumental building in the Dommelstraat, called 鈥楢mnis鈥� (meaning: stream). Now, the building is often used for committee meetings, drinks and parties.

Association evenings
Bible study (kring): Once every two weeks we come together in small groups (~6-7 people) to eat, sing, pray and do a Bible study. This group changes each year, and is built up from members with different ages and religious backgrounds. This way, a diverse group of members can get to know each other on a deeper level, learn from each other and help each other to grow in their relationship with God.
Common evening (GA): Once a month we come together with the whole association to eat together, sing with a band and listen to a lecture about a biblical topic. Our board organizes this evening and asks for example a christian professor, pastor or someone from a christian organisation to share their knowledge on the topic. Afterwards, we always have drinks in our society 鈥楢mnis鈥�.

HOST

Ichthus also has an international sub-association called HOST, which comes together every other Friday. HOST is a community for international students that aims to help international students to feel at home in Eindhoven. At HOST you can expect hospitality, to build friendships, and to be encouraged to meet God. We organize various formal and informal events, focused on helping Christian international students grow in their faith and share experiences. These events also include activities that are a lot of fun, and involve cultural exchange. However, you don鈥檛 have to be a Christian to come along. We welcome all students regardless of their cultural background or religion!

Disputes

Ichthus has 5 disputes (fraternities), each with their own character and activities. Disputes are close groups of friends that come together on evenings apart from the association evening on Tuesday and go on vacation with each other.
This is a non-mandatory part of membership at Ichthus.

Houses

There are 6 Ichthus houses in Eindhoven, in which members of Ichthus live. In the mostly mixed houses, members come together to eat, relax and have fun together.

Committees

Ichthus has 16 committees that are responsible for the organisation of activities, such as weekends away, the Introduction week, the Passion Week, and our annual gala. In committees, a diverse group of members is put together, so everyone has the chance to develop their soft skills. This is an ideal opportunity to learn how to work together, organize a large-scale event and meet efficiently!

Ichthus has a lot to offer! For example, you can join the soccer team, that competes in the Totelos internal competition, or play in the band, responsible for the worship on association evenings.
