Jeroen Dijsselbloem, Mayor Eindhoven

Jeroen Dijsselbloem (1966) is Mayor of Eindhoven, the city where he was born. He is the former Minister of Finance (2012-2017), President of the Eurogroup (2013-2018) and President of the Board of Governors of the European Stability Mechanism (2013-2018). Dijsselbloem studied agricultural economics at Wageningen University, and made a career in government as policy adviser and later as a member of parliament for the Partij van de Arbeid (PvdA), the Dutch Labour party.

As mayor, he is regional mayor of the Regional Unit of East Brabant, chair of the Brabant Zeeland Task Force, chair of the Brabant-Southeast Safety Region, chair of the Eindhoven Metropolitan Region, chair of the Brainport Foundation, and chair of RIEC Brabant-Zeeland
