Language games of/for leadership; We invite you to a lecture and workshop focusing on the power of language in leadership by Erika Darics and Joanna Chojnicka.

In the first part, our presentation will focus on why (the often unnoticed) details in language and communication matter, for example when leaders create new visions for change. From public speaking to coffee room chatter, from emails to staff meetings, leadership is created - literally talked into being - in text and interactions. This talk will help you start noticing how exactly this takes place and draw your attention to the elements of language and communication to look out for in your own professional conduct.

In the workshop we will put this newly acquired knowledge to test, to explore (or expose!) how communication doesn’t just create leadership but can perpetuate inequalities .
The hands-on workshop will provide participants with concrete examples to look for, challenge, use (or avoid) in a variety of leadership contexts, for example meetings and performance reviews.
