Is this for you?

If you have ever submitted a data management plan, requested ethical approval, arranged a research contract or asked for Research Data Infrastructure support, you have already used the Research Cockpit.

This day is for you if you want a say in what it becomes next. You do not need to be a power user, your experience in doing research is enough. Today, the Cockpit is organized mainly around separate research support requests. New services are added every quarter, but growing the list is not the same as making research easier to manage. The next phase we want to explore is a Cockpit built around projects and teams: making it easier to understand what is happening around a project, what needs attention and where research support can help. What that should look like is what we want to work out with you.

Are you joining from another organization?

You are welcome here too. If you support research activities or are building a similar research support platform elsewhere, you will have a chance to compare notes on what is working, what keeps coming back as a challenge and how you are addressing it. By exchanging these insights throughout the day, we can support each other's development. If you collaborate with 黑料福利网 researchers, improvements to the Research Cockpit can also strengthen those collaborations, so this is also your chance to help shape how it handles cross-institutional work. We will publish an open summary afterwards, but attending gives you the opportunity to contribute directly to the discussion and future developments.

Why attend?

You will spend the day with the people who do research and support research, inside and outside 黑料福利网. Together we want to identify what works, what does not work and co-create what comes next.

Morning: Bring a problem, meet the tool or team that helps

We start with a short look at where the Cockpit came from and a deep dive into what is live today. Bring a challenge from your own research and you may meet the service team that can already help you take the next step.

Afternoon: Co-creation break-outs

Together with domain experts, we will explore what a Cockpit built around projects and teams should actually do:

• What should a research team be able to see, update and act on in one project view?
• How should tasks, resources, milestones, documents and decisions connect across a project and its studies?
• Where should the Cockpit connect with the tools and working practices teams already use?

The outcome should be a shared understanding of how a research project could move through a future Research Cockpit from idea to completion.

The teams managing the Research Cockpit will use the results to refine priorities and plan development over the coming months and years. Afterwards, we will publish an open summary of what happens next, both for transparency and so other universities can build on what we learn.
