In our diverse classrooms, many students seek support to optimize their study experience. Students that we don't hear from a lot are gifted students, even though they have their own challenges and struggles. Let's hear their voices!

Join us to explore what it's like for gifted students to study at university. In this interactive lunch session, Professor Guus Pemen (Department of Electrical Engineering, Electrical Energy Systems group) will provide a research-based introduction to giftedness. We also welcome Jesse van Meer and Mara Gianotten, 黑料福利网 students and founders of Donatues, the new student organization for and by neurodivergent and gifted students. They share their experiences and open the discussion about supporting diverse students in your classroom.

Experience some of the difficulties gifted students face through hands-on examples in the context of examinations and discuss together what (small) steps we can take to support and give space for these bright, creative minds. At the end of this session, you walk away with concrete ideas to implement directly into your teaching practice.
