Almost immediately after the release of ChatGPT in late 2022, the use of large language models in coursework was allowed by the Medical Image Analysis Group (IMAGE/e) of the Department of Biomedical Engineering. Students were required to self-report any use of such models and, if applicable, submit a brief reflection. In these reports, they addressed specific questions about the tasks for which they used the models and whether they found them helpful.

In this talk by Mitko Veta (associate professor), he will provide an overview and summary of these reflections to offer insights into how students perceive the use of these models. He will also share examples of how he utilizes large language models in designing courses and assignments.

This event is open to teachers and support staff; registration is free and can be done . Free lunch and drinks will be available to those attending in person.
